Art followed his father in the construction business.  He was President of Kriens Construction from 1953 until 1989 when he went into semi-retirement.  In 1961, Art expanded the customized family home business into doing commercial work and repairing houses damaged by fire.  Since then the company has come to specialize in wind, fire, and explosion repair in addition to commercial and residential remodeling.  He spent many years giving construction seminars to realtor schools and associations and in the latter years served as an expert witness for attorneys and insurance companies settling construction law suits and damage claims.  Art is retired from the company’s day-to-day activities, but still serves as an officer of the corporation.  Art still serves the community with his involvement in business organizations and clubs.
